Environmental Vendor Managed Inventory

The customer would like Internet access to the vendors product safety documentation. The vendor sets this up on his homepage via a Web interface or a marketplace and assigns access authorization to individual contact persons.

The vendor ensures the appropriate layout and regulation-compliant availability of product safety documentation over MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) according to the regional requirements of the buy-side.

The required documents are automatically made available for collection at the appropriate time. The customer can log onto the vendor's marketplace and retrieve a list of reports available to him. The customer can then have the certificate created and receive a copy in PDF format, for example, which he can display, print, or download. The retrieval process is logged in the vendor's system.

With Collaborative Vendor-Managed Inventory owners can:

  1. Attach product safety related documents for their products to the bill of material (BOM)
  2. Publish documents to a list of internal or external participants
  3. Define communication settings (collaboration or one-on-one communication) and access rights
  4. Monitor and compare responses from different partners and check due dates for renewal
  5. Reconcile document changes in the operative process

Participants of a Collaborative Vendor-Managed Inventory session can:

  1. Check the available documentation and verify what has to be done to be regulation-compliant
  2. Navigate through the offered documents and information
  3. View and download documents for inhouse usage and distribution
