    Trade Funds Management is an intuitive and integrated solution that allows for the multi-dimensional set-up of discretionary and co-op budgets.  It provides detailed tracking of budget transfers and updates and traceability of all fund-related value flows.  There are full budget check capabilities for planning and settlements, plus full checkbook capabilities to allow insight into the funds at anytime during the funds lifecycle.  There is a central repository of trade funds utilization and full accrual management capabilities.  With all these capabilities, the SAP TPM solution allows organizations to optimally allocate trade funds and track against promotional spending.

    Funds determination allows organizations to manually or automatically assigns funds to promotional activities.  This is imperative, as tracking funds to promotional activities allow organizations insight into how they are spending promotional money and what type of returns on investments they’re getting.

    Funds Management is the overall process for managing funds and fund-related objects associated with promotional spending.  It oversees the integration of trade funds and trade promotions, to allow better visibility and tracking of funds allocated to promotional activities.

    Funds UsagesSAP Component or Feature Available
    Fund usages hold planned and actual expenses against the fund to better manage and distribute funds to partners.  A fund usage is how funds are associated with trade promotions.  Fund consumptions are represented by fund usage objects in fund management.  Fund usages are used throughout the entire lifecycle of a fund and once closed or accrued, the unconsumed budget or accruals will be returned to the fund.
