Service Provider: One-Step Travel Management (Collaborative)In an industry where 80% or more of employees travel and deliver services on-site, it is very important to have a streamlined travel management system. In close cooperation with one of its customers and outsourcing providers SAP will enter a new dimension of travel planning and administration based on the new possibilities offered within SAP Business Suite. The service provider will offer a fully customized travel management system with an interface to the Global Distribution System for reservations. The traveler has access to the service provider's system via an Internet link integrated with his/her personalized SAP NetWeaver Portal. The only piece of software he/she needs for travel planning and administration is a web browser. From the SAP NetWeaver Portal the traveler logs directly on to the service provider's SAP Travel Management System where he/she can plan his/her trip. All data is physically stored in the service provider's SAP System. The service provider receives the passenger name record (PNR) and checks the quality and consistency of the booking. After the trip the traveler logs on to the service provider' s SAP System again and does his/her expenses. The service provider periodically prepares data records for the accounting system of the customer, which will be automatically transferred. This Collaborative Business Scenario brings together travelers, service providers and global distributors. |
