Talent Relationship Management

Finding, attracting and retaining candidates is extremely hard in the current environment. Companies are also faced with the challenges of maximizing recruiter performance and handling large numbers of unsolicited applications.

SAP offers a solution for these challenges - the Talent Warehouse within SAP E-Recruiting. The Talent Warehouse is a talent pool in which candidates can maintain their resumes and job preferences independent of a vacancy in the organization. It also enables the company to engage candidates or job seeks on a long-term basis and therefore execute on a talent relationship management (TRM) strategy for candidates.

The first step starts with the talent pool operator defining the strategy for the talent pool, e.g. how to fill the talent pool, which categories of candidates to target and what services to offer. One way to execute on this, for example, is by using advertising campaigns to introduce the talent pool and brand the employer image. Candidates then register in the talent pool and can manage their personal data. The talent pool operator offers candidates either their own services or buys services from service providers. Examples include employment market information or salary surveys. Registered candidates can then access those value-added services.

The main benefits are

  1. Balanced labor market cycles
  2. Increased candidate interest independent of job vacancies
  3. Reduced sourcing costs
  4. Reduced administrative efforts (process time and cost) through self-service
