This Business Scenario Map displays the overall process from the time of the process control using a Process Control System (PCS) to the opening of a maintenance order. All parties involved in the process, from the asset operator to the engineer, via the maintenance planner, have permanent access to the data that is relevant for them. A malfunction that was recognized in production by a Process Control System, is automatically reported to a responsible maintenance planner. He determines and informs the responsible engineer, who inspects the reported damage and reports back the results. The maintenance planner uses the completion confirmation to decide whether to create a maintenance order.

Condition-Based MaintenanceAn optimal asset condition is a prerequisite for a trouble-free production process. Triggered by a malfunction report created by the Process Control System in R/3, the maintenance planner decides to send out a maintenance engineer to the reported object to validate the reported malfunction. The responsible engineer for this is automatically determined using partner determination and informed using a pager, telephone or Workflow. In addition, the response profile, service profile, and, if necessary, priority, are used to automatically determine the tasks that must be executed for this report. The responsible maintenance engineer executes the tasks assigned to him. This is logged within the report. He analyzes the reported damage on site and notifies the maintenance planner of his results using the report. On the basis of the completion confirmation, the maintenance planner can now decide whether a maintenance order must be created. |
