News for all ABAP developers: SAP UK is pleased to announce the reintroduction of theBC417 BAPI Development for Accessing SAP Components course. This updated three-day course will be invaluable for all ABAP developers who need to create and call BAPIs, providing you with the knowledge you need to guide you through every phase of BAPI development.
As well as detailing how to create BAPIs, the course will cover business objects' enhancements to SAP standard BAPIs, and how to perform external calls to BAPIs. BC481 - SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe (SIFbA) in the ABAP environment
Want to know more about how Adobe Interactive Forms can be used in SAP? Maybe you've already attended the BC480 Adobe Print Forms course and you're ready to know more... or maybe you want to find out how Adobe Interactive Forms can be incorporated into an ABAP Web Dynpro application.
The brand new 2-day BC481 course, (replacing the previously advertised WGBIF), will show you how. Starting with an introduction to the capabilities and technical architecture of Interactive Forms, you will receive a good grounding in the Adobe Designer Tool and an understanding of how you can integrate Adobe form templates into your wider SAP applications.
The course will discuss existing business applications featuring the technology, and will then look at the following scenarios within ABAP:
- SIFbA within ABAP: PDF print forms and complex layouts
- SIFbA within Web Dynpro ABAP: simple applications and RFC calls
- Offline scenarios: web services, email, XML
Finally the course considers the more advanced features: best practices, digital signatures, security, scripting and APIs

BIT480 PI - Operations
The latest release of PI - Process Integration 7.1 (formally know as XI - exchange infrastructure) has resulted in some significant functional enhancements. Many of these highly desirable enhancements will be useful for the everyday administration of the server and messages which run on these. Some offer performance and security features. However the big questions most people want to know are:
- How and why has the architecture changed?
- What does the new NWA (NetWeaver Administrator) tool do for me?
- How does PI7.1 work as part of the C.E. (composite environment)?
- How do I use it to work with Enterprise Services / Web Services (SOA Management)?
- How do I support this new Advanced Adapter Engine?

FS040 Business Processes in Transactional Banking
SAP Banking Services 6.0 is the new product for banks from SAP that opens up the core banking functions to use the new enterprise SOA functionality. The very first run of the Business Processes in Transactional Banking course (FS040) will be in the UK and you could be part of the first wave of people to learn about these processes.
This course covers transaction processing in all areas of the core banking solution such as customer records, functions of products, making payments from accounts, lending and collateral management. It goes into detail on managing pooling and facilities for corporate customers along with investments and back office processing.
The course is an excellent starting point for all project team members and consultants who need a broad view of SAP Banking Services 6.0 core functions, to enable them to progress to the new module specific courses due later this year. FS260 Deposits Management
Having learned about the SAP Banking Services 6.0 core banking processes in FS040, the new SAP Deposits Management course (FS260) will build on this with more detailed application knowledge along with configuration of products, accounts and transaction processing for deposits. You start by creating your own bank and build up to understand the settings required to make different products including the pricing. The course will also cover configurations of Master contract management which allows pooling of products for corporate customers. End-of-day processing and back office processing is also covered.
This course is a must if you will be supporting a project with SAP Deposits Management as consultant or project team member. Project managers who require more detailed knowledge of what can be done with the SAP Deposits Management module will also benefit from attending this course.

JA400 - Introduction to Java EE 5
Introduction to Java EE 5 is a new five day training where you are going to learn the most important aspects of Java Programming using Java Platform Enterprise Edition 5 (Java EE 5) to create web and enterprise applications. This new programming standard will make your life as a developer easier with innovative techniques. Java EE 5 offers new features such as the highly simplified Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) Technology 3.0, JavaServer Faces (JSF) Technology, provides support for all of the latest SOA technologies and the latest web services APIs.
For your existing application you will not have any problems because there is backward compatibility of Java EE 5 with previous versions of the Java Enterprise platform.
For this class we will use the SAP Netweaver Composition Environment 7.1 as a platform for building and running the applications based in Java EE 5.

NET312 - UI Development with Web DynPro for ABAP
SAP Education UK is now offering a new 3-day course covering the User Interface design aspect of ABAP Web Dynpro.
This course explains in detail how to implement user interfaces (UIs) based on Web Dynpro for ABAP. This includes the creation of a view�s layout based on the UI element library provided with Web Dynpro for ABAP, the definition of the related view context and the discussion of the UI element specific events.
In particular, this course covers the creation of the more complex UI elements which are not covered in detail on the NET310, including the Date Navigator, Phase Indicator, Road Map, Table View, and Tree.
The course will also discuss how to define the layout using the UI elements Contextual Panel, Horizontal Contextual Panel, Navigation List, MultiPane, and TabStrip
The Business Graphics UI element, which can be used to display graphical illustrations of data and data relationships is covered in detail, as well as some of the others options available for Presentation graphics: GeoMap,ValueComparison, and ProgressIndicator.
Finally the process required to integrate other technologies in Web Dynpro is considered, including how to embed SAP Interactive Forms for Adobe (and also static forms) into a Web Dynpro application, as well as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel files. The subject of embedding SAP Business Intelligence Web Templates into Web Dynpro applications is also described in this course.
Attendees should have experience in developing applications based on Web Dynpro for ABAP, the necessary knowledge can be achieved by attending our 5-day NET310 course (ABAP Web Dynpro).
